Technology Education Consortium (@TEC)
@TEC represents a partnership between private industry, academic
institutions, and community organizations to develop and provide
education and skills training programs specifically designed to

City of Kingston
The City of Kingston website has a wide array of information
on everything from budgets and taxes to culture, tourism and social
services. It provides important information to residents and visitors
about many functions run by the city such as transportation, snow

- Communications
and Information Technology Ontario (CITO)
CITO is an Ontario Centre of Excellence committed to strengthening
the global performance of Ontario's information technology, digital
media and communications industries. CITO does this by building
university and industry partnerships that foster the interchange

- ITAC
Ontario
ITAC Ontario seeks to develop the Ontario information technology
industry to its potential via representation to the provincial
government and the sponsoring of development programs for its
members. ITAC Ontario is a strong advocate for the industry to
the Government of Ontario. It also provides an effective business

- KANnet
KANnet was formed in 1998, after a locally-funded Coopers
and Lybrand sectoral analysis report identified the lack of collaborative
mechanisms as a barrier to growing knowledge-based industries.
The need to address several key issues identified in the reports
underlay its decision to develop a connected community:
· Increase cooperation among community groups, reducing
silos;
· Improve communications within the region;
· Create a broader sense of community and identity.

Cultural Initiative
The Kingston Cultural Initiative intends to help the Kingston
area thrive as a tourist destination for the arts, heritage and
culture, and to develop a cultural business centre that will enrich
the community by creating new economic benefits and new opportunities

District Community Information Centre
Kingston District Community Information Centre (KDCIC)
was incorporated in 1985 as a non profit organization. KDCIC covers
the City of Kingston, Frontenac township, Lennox and Addington
county, Lanark county and Leeds and Grenville county. The Kingston
District Community Information Centre provides links for people
who need to know where to find available and appropriate resources
within the community. KDCIC does this by providing information
regarding over 3,000 human services agencies, government offices
and clubs. Additionally the centre provides information regarding
recreation, culture and sports groups via the internet. Visit

- KEDCO
The Kingston Economic Development Corporation (KEDCO) is one of
Kingston's primary means of achieving sustainable economic, social
and environmental health development. the Corporation's aim is
to work within the community to develop world-class products and

inclusive of private and public organizations as well as individuals
who endorse the notion that joint effort results in a stronger
